Group Run 6-24

Thank you Run Ozaukee!!

This past weekend I ran Grandma’s Marathon and was overwhelmed in the weeks leading up, and even since the race of the incredible encouragement of this group!!!  Thank you so much for your texts, emails, and other encouragement on this journey.  I got a little greedy pacing, and did not make my Boston Qualifying time at Grandma’s, but am ready to make the BQ at the Chicago Marathon this fall.

Congrats to Craig, Doug, and Ryan for completing the Hartfest Half Marathon this weekend, and representing Run Ozaukee there!!!

Run, Run, Run: Summer and fall are traditionally race time, so please let us know what races are on your schedule, so we can cheer you on!!!

Group Run: We will meet at the Meekwon Golf Course in Cedarburg 7am Saturday morning, and head South on the bike trail.    You can see the full route if you follow the group run link to our website.  There will be water and Gatorade on the route, but feel free to carry what you need also.

We are now on our summer schedule so there will also be a social run each Tuesday evening at 6pm starting at the Cedarburg Community Gym.  Our website now has added the new Tuesday routes, to our routes page, check it out.

Annual Hydration Drive: We have no membership fees at Run Ozaukee and our primary cost is setting out water and Gatorade each week.  Each year I ask that people consider bringing a case of water or gatorade or both to help with this.  We will plan to have our annual hydration drive on Saturday June 24thJuly 1st, and July 8th.  Please bring any donated water or Gatorade on those weeks.  Thanks as always!!!
